In Animals, Ben Affleck and Kerry Washington Face a Mysterious Threat
A family emergency, a political campaign, and a desperate race against time come together in Animals, a 2026 crime thriller directed by and starring Ben Affleck. Released on Netflix on October 9, 2026, the movie attracted attention thanks to its suspenseful premise and well-known cast.

What Is Animals About?
Animals follows Mark Kimball, a Los Angeles mayoral candidate played by Ben Affleck, and his wife Abigail, played by Kerry Washington.

The situation becomes more complicated because Mark's political ambitions and public image add another layer of pressure. The story explores how people respond when fear and personal interests collide.
Rather than focusing only on the kidnapping itself, the movie places family relationships and the consequences of desperate decisions at the center of its drama.
